All you need is LOVE !!!

Well this Friday's challenge is Love. I went with a Valentine because that reminds me of love. When my DH was still alive we always made Valentine's day a special time to go out to dinner, hold hands, share loving comments and really enjoy our time together. I miss that but don't want a pity party believe me, instead I want all you lovers out there to be sure and do just what I suggested and enjoy each other . This card is done on a gold cardstock with burgundy mat ( looks more red but it is very wine colored) gold embossing, some cute stick on hearts from Hobby Lobby .

Update on the old dude at the Dollar General...I walk in and he is sporting a neck brace, wow I ask what happened and he says he took a nasty spill on the ice and hurt his neck. I'm so bad I'm thinking he probably got one of those long gold chains he wears caught in the cash register drawer, slammed it and got whip lash. My head was working in that direction and I had to walk away as I was ready to burst out in laughter. Poor old Dude!

Happy weekend again...do something exciting like watch the superbowl with friends. Be sure to make some great dips, buy beer, chips, and you'll have all the friends you could ever ask for. Myself I prefer wine, with some good cheese and crackers ...that's called sophistication!

What a great, gonzo bow!! This is a really pretty card, Pat. Like all the gold. Did the Poor Old Dude and his chains give you the inspiration? Hope your weekend is super, bowl or not!

Hey Mom!

Oh... poor dude! I laughed. Even with the neck brace did he still give you that "hubba hubba" look???

Love the glitzy card and the advice for everyone to seize the day and appreciate those you love!

Hey... guess what??? Love you!! ;-)

Patty this card is stunning I just love that ribbon and what you did with it. My husband and I have experienced the loss of many family members so in our house we say I love you every day. Also the rule in our home is you can never leave the house without a kiss and an I love you. As James Taylor says in one of his songs "Shower the people you love with love tell them the way that you feel" it is a great song and a great message.

Hope you have a wonderful weekend. We are going to watch the Superbowl and for once we actually have our team involved. I am going to make a big pot of chili and we will have beer, and snacks as well.

Blessings

P.S. thanks for the Old Dude story it gave me a giggle.
