Here's my house guest...Woofie/Woofy
Well here's the Woofy who really is Woofie! Can you believe she wouldn't let me take her picture! Every time I called her name and aimed the camera she turned her head...what a riot. So Julie came by and this little dog just out and out refused to let us take her picture. We were cracking up but she finally let Julie snap some and here she is. Her owner had her groomed yesterday and she's like a baldy but so cute and so good. Happy weekend everybody.

Timeless Tuesday...scallops & lace
Well as it sometimes happens I'm not making TT on TT but well TThursday and that's Ok. We are to do lace & scallops ( not the kind of scallops you eat)so I decided to sneek one of DD's new sets called Botanical Bookmarks Vol.1.
I picked the little violet sibling the viola ( not to be confused with the instrument). These pretty little flowers are so adorable and I always try and include them in my flower pots when using tons of flower combos. Anyway as usual I just used my colored pencils a couple of Spellbinders dies, add a bit of lace and ribbon and of course some bling. So be sure to check out the Flourishes DT blogs to see this new set. Wow the weather is spring like here and it's really a joy to open windows and door walls. Have to get ready for a special guest I'm entertaining this weekend. Nope not a cowboy but a little cowgirl...named Woofy. She's my neighbors little dog and she will keep me company over the weekend while her owner is off on a little trip. I'm looking forward to keeping her as she is so adorable. I'll snap a picture and show you over the weekend. Have fun fellow stampers and see you soon.

Timeless Tuesday Thursday...follow the leader
Well better late then never...I know I know I have all week but I like to do TT on Tuesday but I didn't get there this week. Anyway Miss Heather gave us the challenge to swipe out at least 3 colors from the picture she provided. I decided to choose green, yellow with a tinge of orange, jute ( kraft c.s.) and black. I used FlourishesI Love Roses. I stamped on yellow card stock and tinged it with a touch of peachy orange. Simple card with just a few layers of papers and it's fini.
Hope you're all enjoying good weather and fun. Had a pesky 1-800 caller the last few nights. Called every 2-3 mins. asking me to take a survey. Finally I got so mad I yelled "Did you say I have scurvy?", needless to say I heard a click on the other end and that was the end of the calls. Sometimes we have to take charge and stop this nuisance. Stay happy dear bloggers.

Timeless Tuesday...do Country
Well today at Flourishes
we are to do a card that's kind of country. I'm a little bit country ( Montana) and a little bit rock and roll ( Michigan)
so this is right up my alley or country lane. Wait while I take that piece of straw out of my lip so I can see where I'm going with this. There that's better and away I go. I chose the Peaches & Cherries set and thought it was reminiscence of my Gramma's yard back in Canada. Did you ever sneek into a fruit tree when you were a kid and hoped and prayed you wouldn't get caught? Of course you did and so did I. Picking and eating peaches that are not ripe is not a great thing to do though. It makes for a pretty rotten tummy ache so you've been warned. This image was colored with my water colored pencils and I decided to try a little patch work with my papers. Added a doilie for Gramma and a bit of baker's twine to finish it off. Don't look now but I did this card arse backwards...it was supposed to be all plastered on in an up and down fashion but I goofed and put it on sideways with the opening on the wrong side. Don't know what I put in my coffee but maybe I'm woozey.
Anyway I hope you all have a good week and take time to have some fun. See you next time.

HAPPY BIRTHDAY TO JAN MARIE...
HAPPY BIRTHDAY TO JAN MARIE today and many days to come! I was in Denver last summer and was able to meet this wonderful lady in PERSON! That was a real treat because you talk to people on a blog but to meet in person is really special. And by the way...Mike the shipping guy (her husband) is a one super fellow too. So my wish for today to Jan Marie is to have a day of happiness, laughter, relaxation, and so much fun you can't see straight!
My card uses Flourishes Cherry Blossoms, Humming Along for the sweet little hummingbird (my very favorite of all birds) and the sweet phrase is from Spring is Sprung.
To create this little number, I just stamped and then colored using my favorite watercolor pencils. The die shape is a Spellbinders Nestabilities Labels Two. A little snippet of ribbon and done! Here's a close up of the sentiment....
I was told that Flourishes is having a special sale today for Jan's big day. Today and Tomorrow all Copic Markers will be on sale at 15% off. What a bargain! Just use the code COPIC15 when you check out. I was honored to join some of the best in the design world bunch today, so you'll have to stop over and see what these fine ladies created for Jan's Birthday Blog Hop!

Timeless Tuesday...Corner Bookmark
Well today's Timless Tuesday is an oldie but goodie...the corner bookmark. Haven't done one of these in years but do happen to love them. There are a couple of ways you can do these and one of them is super simple by cutting the corner off an envelope and using that to decorate. You can also use a template and make your own corner ...think about it and do as you please. I did two and one each way but the one I'm showing is the envelope one cause it came out pretty dang cute if I do say so myself. Used some cute designer paper to cover the corner, used Miss Martha's punch to give a fancy edge , and 2 circle dies from Spellbinder's to add my tagline word...Smile, and to finish it off I added a little K & Co. stick on flower.
How cute and easy is that? Well it's very easy but also pretty crafty. If you're trying to read my book...it's the Hunger Games which is pretty awesome and so engaging I spent practically the whole day reading yesterday.
Found my new coat at the new JCP's for just $20. Wow what a bargain. The whole store is on sale today and every day from now on. I guess it will be my new home away from home. Woke up to a sprinle of snow but just a dusting and I can live with that. Take care fellow stampers and have a great week. Can you believe I did TT on Tuesday for a change?

Timeless Tuesday ...use red for someone special
Well sorry about the blur but my wonderful camera has a mind of it's own on the settings and until I can take some time to figure out what's going on I have to settle for a crappy picture. Anyway..it's a bit late but please forgive me. I used Flourishes wonderful Poppy set which was hidden away in all my collection of their stamps. This is a beautiful set and I have to get it inked up once again. I have just a white base for my card and then the red embossed mat, a white mat with some Scor Pal raised border, then a Spellbinder's die cut of red, and the white Spellbinder's oval. Love to use all the dies to make everything come together. Put some glitzy red stones on the corner and a Bow Easy chiffon red bow.
Easy peasy card and now I can mail it off to my BFF or one of them anyway...I have more then one as I do love people.
Happy weekend fellow stampers. I am going out in search of a new winter jacket I hope to find at a sale price along with some new shoes...every gal needs new shoes. Happy trails to you all.

Timeless Tuesday ...Thursday. It's for the Birds
Well Holy Smokes I cut off the top of this card in the picture but I think you get it anyway. Better late then never for the Flourishes Timeless Tuesday event. This week the sweet Maki is asking us to put a bird into our card/project. I found this Crafty Secret cotton scrap and said hey why not and so I did and furthermore it's oh so true...Winter is for the birds and it can't end to soon as far as I'm concerned. Easy card by just doing a bit of paper and matting and used a heart shape punch to back a wee button embellie.
Hope all is well with all of you as it is with me. Finally feel decent today and I'm sure I'm on the mend. Weather is nice...sunny and in the 40's but tonight it's supposed to drop in the 20's. Baby that's cold weather but no complaints as we are dry with NO SNOW. Happy rest of the week fellow bloggers.

More Valentines for the Children
Well I've been under the weather & because I've been confined to my home I decided to make more Valentines for the kids. These are very simple yet suitable for maybe some teen girls. Used IO's older Valentine set and the phrase is Flourishes. Hope to send off another 25 or so. I sent in 280 today and will keep on this until the very end. Thanks to those that have been supportive in this drive. You are appreciated.
Guess what??? My BFF Lindy went to lunch the other day with some ladies she used to work with and one is a stamper/card maker. Lindy said too bad Pat moved to Montana as you two would have gotten along great. Well her friend said.. is that Pat Adam who's daughter is Julie Koerber? Yep...what a small world this is. My BFF's friend is Rama Ready who subscribes to our blogs. Can't believe it but it's true. Hi Rama...glad you came by.
Take care fellow bloggers and happy weekend. I'm sitting by the fireside reading and just taking it easy. Have pneumonia ( or however it's spelled) and not feeling all that great. Taking a toll on this old lady but hopefully soon I'll be able to get out and about.
