Friday challenge Color challenge

Well it's time for the challenge at notimetostamp cause it's Friday y'all. Did you ever go to a party and feel like a real pooper??? Guess that's where the term party pooper came from and that's me today because I wasn't thrilled with this color combo. Now I love purple, lavender, and ivory, but putting in brown turned me off. Sorry, but that's just me, a real party pooper; however, as you can see I did play along since I love to be part of the Friday challenge. I took the easiest way out possible on this and used a Crafty Secrets Cotton Scrap from a sheet I had hanging out in my drawer...hiding like a little critter waiting to be found and I found it and used it. Lovely Lilac flower with an ivory background.I just did a little mounting of the colors and added some little flowers I colored purple and added some blingers and I was done.

It's the weekend and hopefully you all got your taxes done and by now are just knee deep in your tax return money. Oh, you're saying that's not the story?? Well I got mine done back in Feb. and rushed to the bank when the check came to me as here in Michigan ( a pretty near bankrupt state) it's like do it now or it may be do it never cause there's no money to return. I made out pretty well so I'm going to treat myself to a dinner out with a friend and who knows perhaps even have a little drinky poo ( cause I am a party pooper...get it!). Have a good weekend friends and stampers. See you next week.

Leave your comfort zone...Yikes that's scary!

Today at notimetostamp# 102 is to leave your comfort zone....Wow that's a toughie!
Well I don't really have a true "comfort" zone, so I decided to do something out of the box. Have you ever seen a brownish Christmas card??? Well, me neither. But, I said " Oh heck, this Crafty Secrets cotton scrap is just too lovely not to figure something out for its use! Soooo....I made a brownish-tone Christmas card and you know what? I like it a lot. It's different and I think quite classy to boot. I love the phrase and the Santa is so bee-utiful for a guy. It's puzzling to me that it looks like he's got a bow and arrow over his shoulder and I'm kinda worried because you know I've been bad so I'm probably in big trouble. Help! I'll try to be a good girl, I promise.

I've used my Nestie's fancy rectangle on both my image and mat which is out of a lovely gold card stock and then I matted on a soft brown tone piece before placing on my white card that I distressed with a few colors of chalk and made a ruffled edge. My ribbon is from Mike's place and my bow done with none other then the fantabulous Bow Easy. Gosh I love that little thing a majig now that I finally can do it. And to end my card, I had to add some bling that I self colored in a brownish tone. Those Sharpie pens color up those jewels really nice. Hey It's a Party!!!

Today... it's a big ole Happy Birthday to Sharon Johnson and the Stamp Simply challenges!!! Today, is challenge number 100 for Sharon and she wants us all to... do a little dance, sing a little song, get down tonite (or today as the case may be)!

In honor of the day, it's a party and you are ALL invited to come in for some fun and prizes. Party time means prizes doesn't it?? Well I'm definitely lovin' today and I know you will too. I am showing some Christmas gift tags that I conjured up for today's party.

This tag is made with cotton scraps from Crafty Secrets and to give it a little pazazz I placed it on my Nesties curved rectangle , matted with both green and gold cardstock and added some glitter to the holly berries. Finished it off with a green satin ribbon from Mike's place and put a little glitzy stud with a red rhinestone. Gotta have bling or is that you gotta have heart? The back is below. I made the back using the Rejoice set from Flourishes. Bet you thought I would leave the back side up to you eh? Well that would be arse backwards and I didn't want to be a ...oh figure it out for your self kind of gal, so I did it for you. Sweet ! Well keep looking 'cause below is tag #2 and then you'll see my big birthday party surprise for one of you lucky ladies or gentlemen. Gosh I love this party already!! This is a sweet Mr. Snowman (must be a papa cause you can see his little boy...so sweet!) which is another of the Crafty Secrets for Christmas time. Used my Nesties again with one of the labels #3, I love this cut and also used the snowflake one that Spellbinder's put out but since that just wasn't enough I added some of SU's white snowflakes to make sure I got really full and fluffy snowflakes. Added some little stick on flakes and some bling....Essential stuff!

So now it's time for my big surprise in celebration of this 100th. challenge...Can you sing Happy Birthday dear Sharon and her wonderful challenges??? Well my present is...are you excited and just ready to wet your panties with expectation??? My present to one of you is $ Ka-ching!!! Lovely Lace

Well today's challenge at Sharon Johnson's ( click on her name on right) is to use lace on your card. I'm not much of a lacy type old lady but did find a piece to use on my card. My little birdie in the tree is singing a sweet little song to me...it has that trill to it, do you hear it?? Better then little birdie in the tree...don't drop that white stuff all over me! My bird is from Crafty Secrets cotton scraps called flowers,my phrase is from Impression Obession, the embellishments are Petaloo, and I used my Nestie and a Fiskar's border punch. What else you want to know?
Took my friend Clara out for her 93rd. birthday yesterday and before lunch she emitted sounds like my coffe pot does in the early a.m.& then after lunch the crickets came out loudly as she proudly passed gas on the way out of the restaurant. What a funny old lady....she asks me " Hey Pat did you hear that one???" I praised her soundly letting her know what a great gas passer she is.
Have a great weekend fellow stampers
HAPPY BIRTHDAY TO FLOURISHES...my card is a twofer and it's my happy birthday card to the great company that Flourishes is!
