Timeless Tuesday...Father's Day

Timeless Tuesday...Father's Day at Flourishes... celebrate your Dad. Well my darling Dad has been gone now for 17 years, but I really wish I could give him a big hug and tell him what a wonderful father he was to me. Sweet, kind, and so very musical. He would sit with me and make me practice my piano lessons until he felt I was good enough to be heard. He sang with the Barbershoppers for years and years...in fact he quit when he was in his 90's because my Mom didn't want him driving anymore. He serenaded all the family at their weddings with his favorite for the occasion...Let Me Call You Sweetheart. He passed away on my DH's birthday on May 7, 1995 and wasn't here to sing for my Julie's wedding and I know she would have loved it.  So dearest Dad I say to you...thanks for the memories.

My paper is from Simple Stories and the phrase is from last year;s stamp set for Father's Day from Flourishes called What A Catch.
This card also qualifies for the challenge to use a letter in your art...Thursday challenge at Flourishes.
Hope you all have a great time with your father and honor him to the moon and back.

What a wonderful tribute to your dad, Pat! The wonderful memories with him are forever in your heart. My dad is not with us anymore for 18 years and I think about him with the same way as you do.
Thank you for playing along at the FTTC.
