Double the Pleasure

Well today's challenge at notimetostamp is Summer Recipes. Make a card or recipe card with a favorite summer recipe on it. Well Flourishes challenge is to use a Spellbinder's die shape,so I decided to double your pleasure, double your fun with double, yes double, yes double...not double mint gum but double recipes. First I chose my favorite summer salad and it's a real delicious one so get your pencil and paper and get ready to copy these both down. Get up and get moving...what are you doing sitting there reading for??? When having a summer dinner party you will just love to serve this awesome salad and let's face it salade makes for a svelt body doesn't it? Just forget the dressing is loaded with fat and sugar cause dog gone it it's so good. This card kind of looks like a Smucker's jelly jar doesn't it? I just made a red card to accept my recipe and added some cute checkered paper along with my Spellbinders label 2 cut in half and a few red blingers for the corners, and a red polka dotted little knot. I'm so happy to share this with Y'all and I know you will be so happy at all the compliments you get when you serve it. Trust me on this one!

Well to finish off a great outdoor meal you need to put some lovin in your tummy and with this recipe for filled brownies you better believe you'll get that lovin! Doesn't everyone love chocolate and cream cheese and whipped cream??? Well let's face it chocolate is a veggie isn't it? Like it's made from cocoa beans and I was always taught that beans were a veggie so....it's a veggie. Now cream cheese and whipped cream are milk products so we should get our milk in everyday now shouldn't we? Of course we should so this recipe is very nutritional even though you think it's loaded with calories, look on the nutritional facts I just presented. This card is nothing to rave about BUT the recipe is. I just used some brown card stock a mat of design paper, my recipe and the little filled cupcake is a stamp from Hero Arts.
So to heck with the card...take down the recipe and make some for dear old Dad. You know he'll love them.
Happy weekend and Happy Father's Day to all the Dads out there. Our Dads ( mine and my kid's Dad) are in Heaven smilin down, so you that have your's here, hug & kiss them while you can.

WOW, Pat, those recipes sound super delicious and let me tell you, those recipe cards you've made for them are absolutely stunning. I'll have to give that Strawberry salad a try and I know my kiddos would eat up those chocolate cupcakes. TFS your recipes.
