Time for Tea...again

Well it's tea party time again and I had to do some prizes and or auction items. I made a boy baby quilt and thought I would show you the pattern. It will be a rag quilt and I have to run it through the washer yet.The raggy side is underneath. I made one like this for my neighbor a few years back and just kept waiting to see it and never did. Finally I asked her where the quilt was and she laughed and told me...it's so soft I'm using it as a pad under the bed sheet. I nearly exploded! A pee pad ??? Are you kidding me!I put hours of work and love into it and it's a pee pad. Needless to say I won't be hand making her any other items. This quilt will be part of a baby boy basket and hopefully be bought with love intentions.

Well as you can see I got my quilt all cut and washed and now it is a rag quilt and I love it. I wanted to show you how cute it came out once it was ragged. This is the 6th. time I have done a quilt like this and I really love it. Hope whoever buys it at the tea loves it also.

Oh, I feel your pain, Pat! Some folks just don't understand the time and love put into handmade gifts.

Whoever gets it will treasure it!!! I can't imagine sleeping on top of this, let alone not beingin sight! Some people just don't have what other's call common sense. I went to my daughter's office one day and there was her Great Dane laying on my Great Aunt's hand made quilt. It's back at my house now. Go figure!

I love it and I'm sure it'll draw tons of attention! I used to sew all the time, but alas, no more! These rag quilts have long interested me -- they look so fun to make and so comforting and cozy for the user!!! Great post!!!
