Simple for friend Monday Dec.31st
This is designed to be a plain and simple Valentine that could go to a good friend or a "man" friend. I like to use navy cardstock which my DD Julie cringes at but I did it anyway. Happy 2008 to all my SBS5 sisters.

Snow Day
Well we were hit with between 8-10 inches of snow last night
and needless to say it's not easy digging out. Thank goodness
for great neighbors. My next door neighbor helped me dig
out with his commercial snow blower. Thanks Doug ! I'll try to
post a card later after I thawed out. Happy winter everyone.

Weds.Dec.12th. Tumbled Marble Tiles
This is an old project;however, some of you may not know about it so here goes. You can buy these tiles at Home Depot or Lowes Hardware. They come in a box of 9 BUT!!! take each tile out and examine them before you buy a chipped or cracked tile. They run about $7 a box so you can make at least 2 sets of coasters for that low price. I stamped my leaves first, made a mask of the leaf and used it on the tile and then stamped the writing. I used Brillance ink because you need to have archival type ink or it may wash off. I love the way the inks work, nice metalic classy look. I used different colors but what you see is Midnight Black and it comes out gold like. Once you have stamped up a couple sets you're ready to bake the color in. Put tiles in a cookie sheet that has either waxed paper or a brown bag cut to fit. pre-heat oven to 250 degrees and bake for 20 mins. This sets the ink so water won't wash it off. I backed my tiles with cork and used a tile sealer. The little stand was something my husband came up with. I sold these for $30 a set but also gave some as gifts. Very easy and oh so nice.

Tuesday, Dec.11th. Cute Snowman
Gosh can you believe how close the big day is? Ready or not it's coming. Having my stamping gals in this Thurs. for pot-luck dinner and of course a few projects. Hope all is well with all of you out there in rubber-land.This card did not photograph well but it's red card, green Christmas tree mat, green mat with gold border, red foil, and cute stamped snowman, colored with water colored pencils. The two holly leaves are punched, trimmed in gold and topped with 2 red little blings glued on.Also I glittered the snowman but it didn't show.

Satin Reindeer Monday Dec.10th.
Well even though it's almost 10 p.m.
I did a card for a post. This card was
redesigned so I could use my satin
reindeer from my LSS. I'm not sure if
it's a good card so your input would
be appreciated. My LSS has a lot of
satin designs by the yard and it's kind
of interesting to try and put them on
cards. So what do you think ? I tried
several different ways to use them and
this one with the sleigh seemed to work.
AWOL December 10th. Monday
Yep, I have been absent without
leave. Why?? Well I have been
very busy at my church packing
toys and food for the poor and
stamping is just not possible.
My poverty program at church will
feed 500 families this year as here
in Michigan there are many people
out of work, so we feed them and
also give toys to the children. It is
a very big job but also a very rewarding
one. My feet and back hurt and today is
only Monday but I will regain my strength
and go back each day until we are done.
We will pass out everything next week.
Pray for all those who are less
fortunate and if you can, give a little
something to someone in need. Even a hug
can be a great gift.

December 5th. Pearl Ex Powders
Well the count down is getting
closer and closer. This is a very
easy card. Navy cardstock, Versamark,
Pearl Ex Powders in Int. Blue and
a touch of Int. gold a good old
piece of swifter cloth and a bit
of gold glitter. Voila, we got
a card. Snowing here in Michigan
and it's beginning to look a lot
like Christmas.

Thinking of You Card
November 21,2007
This card was created today when I got a call that my brother-in-law John was rushed to the hospital for emergency surgery. He is Ok but will be hospitalized for at least 10 days.
I love this stamp which is from a SU set.
I did it on copper with copper embossing powder and matted it on some sort of copper colored wrinkled paper and slapped it all on the brown card. I love copper on copper and did some of my Christmas cards that way.

Santa Card
Sat. November 17th.
This card was a card I plan to use for my meeting with friends.
The stamp is from Paper Inspirations which is a company out of Montana. Very detailed but easy to use with just colored ink. I just stamped with red and used my gold pen for a liner around the edge, matted on green ( same as I used for my card base)added my holly background paper, a bit of ribbon and voila, it's done.

cute reindeer
11-14-07
Well today I decided to take my cute reindeer stamp and design a card of my own. It is a great stamp for the holiday season and I had fun coming up with this cute design. Hope you like it. I was stamping with my daughter and we had the same supplies but did the card a little bit differently. You can check out her design at Out To Impress

Hello and Welcome to my Blog
Hi one and all,
I started this blog while on a visit to my daughter Julie and her family, who live in Billings, Montana. I spent 2 weeks there and got in a lot of stamping. Julie took a tip from Michigan and started a Christmas card club. This is an awesome plan to get involved in. You attend the club meetings once a month but leave each meeting with 15 ready to send Christmas cards. You have 3 designs and make 5 of each so you end up with 15. The plan is to go to the club in Sept. Oct. Nov. and December, so when you have done this you end up with 60 cards ready to mail to friends and family. Cool! What an easy and quick way to get those cards done and of course you have fun with the other stampers while attending. Love it! I did my first class at a wonderful store in Troy, Michigan called "My Craft Room".
I was happy that Julie took my idea and started a club in Billings so I still got my November class in. Also while in Billings I attended the annual stamp camp held by the Stampression stamp store. Lots of fun and dinner also. The cards on the blog were a combination of the Christmas card club and stamp camp so they were not my own designs but they are nice cards and I am sharing them with you. Enjoy.
