You are my sunshine

Well the Friday challenge at notimetostamp is to use yellow, be sunny or something like that. "You are my sunshine my only sunshine", popped into my head and so I grabbed some soft yellow paper and created this card. Got the image in a swap so don't know whose it is...maybe SU but not sure. I do know it's a pretty iris and I have yellow ones in my garden so I copied ( I think that's called CASE )and ended up with what you see. Used just my old stand by water colored pencils as that's what I'm capable of using decently...I say who needs mineral spirits when there's tap water or a blender available. Got the yellow ribbon from Mike who continues to stock some pretty nice stuff. Have to say, I think it's a pretty card.

Well the story with my buddy Ray is...he grew the beard for the Red Wings play offs. Go Red Wings! That's the Detroit Red Wing hockey team and we are trying for the Stanley cup again. Wahoo what a great team and if all the guys around here want to wear beards to cheer them on then so be it. Have a fun weekend to you all.

What a GORGEOUS card! Love your daffodils and that ribbon is to die for! If only our weather would get sunny now. Oh well, at least it will be bright and fun on Saturday afternoon for some of us!

Looks like springy days on the ranch with memories of drivers pulling over to the side of the hiway only to back up and drive down the ranch driveway to drool over my grandparents' flower garden boasting its first round of yellow iris bordering the rose arena of 100 bushes just beginning to green at the stem branches. Thanks for the delightful memory bolt. It came complete with the aroma of freshly spread sawdust expelling all the scents of a sawmill at full tilt.
Pat, what a wonderful sunny paper eye candy! The day has matched up nicely.
Keep Looking Up!
