Timeless Tuesday...Christmas in July

Well it's Timeless Tuesday Tuesday at Flourishes and we are asked to make a Christmas card here in July. If you're in the same boat as most of the country we are all wishing for some cool down weather so it's fun to think snow and Christmas. Wish I could bring this image to life as he looks so warm and fuzzy and I'll bet his disposition would match that beautiful smile and happy twinkle in his eyes. He's the kind of guy any gal would be happy to latch on to. This sweet image is from the set I Believe and it is my favorite Christmas set...why you ask??? Well it's so easy to create with, which is just great when you want to mass produce cards for the mailing list. I stamped the image with distress ink and just added a touch of color to it and then some glitter to the fur on his cap.Used a punch for my holly leaf and added a bright red blinger for the berry look. Now how easy is that! Hope you're all off to a good week. Things here are good other then it's too darn hot for us old folks. I'm going to the beach tomorrow with my DGD who wants to first go to K-Mart and get a couple noodles. You know those styrofoam long stick thingys you just throw your arms over and attempt to float on? Well they do work and it's an easy way to get around in the water so I guess we'll call that a plan. Happy week and talk soon.

WOW! You did a fabulous job with old St Nick! Love that you mostly left him alone and just added some touches of color. Your DGD is so SMART - - we surely don't want you to drown, so noodles it is! Have fun, beach bunnies!!

This year I'm struggling with seeing Christmas cards in July! But yours looks great! And you are right a little snow and wind would be a welcome sight right now here in the sweltering south. We have been Hot and Steamy for way too long!

Pat, I love the jolly, old Santa you used...he looks so happy and a bit mischievious looking, too. Just looking at your card seems to make me think it is almost Christmas and cools things down a bit.

Have fun at the beach..just where I would love to be.

Beautiful card Pat. I haven't even had the slightest interest to start my Christmas cards yet. First time in 5 years I haven't made and sold my Christmas in July cards!
