Leave your comfort zone...Yikes that's scary!

Today at notimetostamp# 102 is to leave your comfort zone....Wow that's a toughie!
Well I don't really have a true "comfort" zone, so I decided to do something out of the box. Have you ever seen a brownish Christmas card??? Well, me neither. But, I said " Oh heck, this Crafty Secrets cotton scrap is just too lovely not to figure something out for its use! Soooo....I made a brownish-tone Christmas card and you know what? I like it a lot. It's different and I think quite classy to boot. I love the phrase and the Santa is so bee-utiful for a guy. It's puzzling to me that it looks like he's got a bow and arrow over his shoulder and I'm kinda worried because you know I've been bad so I'm probably in big trouble. Help! I'll try to be a good girl, I promise.

I've used my Nestie's fancy rectangle on both my image and mat which is out of a lovely gold card stock and then I matted on a soft brown tone piece before placing on my white card that I distressed with a few colors of chalk and made a ruffled edge. My ribbon is from Mike's place and my bow done with none other then the fantabulous Bow Easy. Gosh I love that little thing a majig now that I finally can do it. And to end my card, I had to add some bling that I self colored in a brownish tone. Those Sharpie pens color up those jewels really nice. To see what the other ladies did please see the list below with their links....Great Stampers each and everyone of them!

And since this is my last week as a guest designer for this team, I just want to thank the academy and all who voted for me to win this wonderful gold naked man named Oscar-- especially all my true die-hard visiters and followers on this blog. Thanks to my family, and friends, but most of all to Sharon who made this all possible and well I'm breaking down into tears now....but seriously, I do thank you all and it's been a dream come true for me. I appreciate all your wonderful words of encouragement. Hope everyone has a truly great weekend. Yes...I am a bit crazy but hey you only get one chance in the game of life and I say...ENJOY!!!

Honestly, this is the most beautiful Christmas card ever! You did a fabulous job of this! The colors give it a very classic feel not to mention the image lends to the whole vintage look. I certainly don't know why they aren't keeping you on as a permanent fixture! You have done such an incredible job all month! Let's start a petition everyone to have Pat stay on! Best, Curt

I absolutely LOVE this card! The Santa is one of the best I've ever seen, and I LOVE LOVE LOVE the colors you used! BTW, you don't need to worry, I think Santa is holding the harnesses for the reindeer over his shoulder, so keep on being bad :)Even though your GD status is over, thank goodness you still have this blog so we can continue to see your beautiful creations! Awesome work!!!
