Friday Challenge...use white mat

Well today on the Friday challenge at notimetostamp we are to use a white mat on our card. Sounds easy enough but since I usually use color for mats, it wasn't so easy to teach this old dog a new trick. I figure if it's wrong it's not my fault afterall I am an old dog trying to learn a new trick. So, I used a slate blue for my card matted with the white and then some nice K & Company DP, a lovely ribbon with the flower stamped and 3D'd ( Stampin Up) and a little phrase from Hero Arts on my lable Nestie. Add some stones for bling and you've got it. Wow...old dog + new trick= it's a done deal.
Happy weekend again. Hope you all have a great one. No nibbles at the fish fry so I'm cooking at home tonight and curling up with a blankie and watching TV. BORING !!

Actually mom, your night doesn't sound boring -- but cozy and fun. I hope to do the same! I like the card you ol dog! That paper is to die for and now I can see the ribbon you picked up from Mikes! Lovely mom!

At least you can stamp, boring ol' dog! This is one very PRETTY card. That flower is Fabulous! Love the bling you added to it. I am a homebody and like to lounge with a book when I'm not stamping. I was trolling around the VFW last night, but the best prospect will be 90 and they took his license away. I'll let you know if I come across a good one. Happy Weekend, Pat!

You've been busy! And I've been lazy in visiting my sistahs! lol. Love your black and white cards and I really like your latest works. I don't usually use white to mat my stuff but it looks so great! I need to try and remember to do so.

TFS your talent and that of others.

Pat I am so loving this card. How are you these days? I hope you are enjoying sunshine where you live. I took out me capris today LOL..and I am going to create a spring card/Easter card too. Finally back into the swing of things. School and Fella taking up time LOL>>>i just adore you cards.
How is the hospital project coming along? I wish I had more people to help me out but it was only you and Donna. Therefore I don't do it much anymore. I will try again for the holiday season.

Hugs....
