Timeless Tuesday....frame it

Well Timeless Tuesday says ...frame it. Well I don't really follow directions all the time and since I stink at cutting I just pretended that by using one of the sweet pierced frames I could make it work. I used an embossing folder that looks like honey-comb. It's a SU one and I really like the effect or is it affect? Stamped the Gerber Daisy image and colored with my faithful colored pencils. Cut out 2 little bees....hear them buzzing with excitement?? Then I slapped it all gently together and added a bow easy bow. Easy except for the cutting which I admit is not my strongest ability. Fini and that's that. Hope you all have a nice week. It's been cold here and we even had some snow. Where oh where is Spring time?

Timeless Tuesday..circle, pearls, & tail

Well the challenge for TT is to use a circle, pearls, and a tail so here we go. I used the set Angelic Hearts which is an oldie but goodie...just like myself. What a sweet little angel this image is as she flys along the sky. I'm sure she is dropping happiness along the way. Not much to color so I tried to add some color with my paper and ribbon. Used my dies of circles and added some pearls and a bow easy bow. Does that look too unsophisticated with the dotted bow? Oh well the little angel is not up to complaints so neither am I. Still hoping some of you will jump in on the Valentine drive for the kids. If everyone even sent in 5-10 it helps the great cause which is to have a fun day for a bunch of children who are stuck in the hospital. Hope you will consider and send some off. Have a great week fellow stampers.

Timeless Tuesday....it's fall/Autumn

Well this week's challenge at TT is since it's now fall ...show it. So instead of falling into a pile of leaves and having that wonderful smell about me I used fake leaves for my picture. ( Took them off my wreath I have on my dining room table. I went to the Calender set # 3 again and chose the mums ( not like mother moms but flower mums. Did a bit of water colored pencil work and used my Spellbinder deckled edge rectangles and a bit of golden organish yellowish cs to create this card. Wow did you notice my ribbon matches the card so well? That was a chance meeting for the two items and they fell in love immediately. Added a panel of dotted swiss punched out bg paper ( doesn't show very well in photo) , used the bow easy with a little blinger and I'm done for the day. This was an easy peasy card and I'll just add a sentiment on the inside and it's good to go to somebody.
Weather has cooled somewhat and it's just awesome to open the windows each a.m. and feel the coolness. I'm so proud of myself as I went back to my old haunt...the gym. Only stayed for about 45 mins. but it's my start for a healthy plan of action. Also joined WW ( weight watchers)
and so between the two things I hope I get back to a good and healthy me. Keep sweating is my new motto. Have a good week fellow bloggers. Talk soon.

Timeless Tuesday...what's on your desk?

Well it's time once again for Timeless Tuesday and we are to take a look at our desk and create from it. Well I just got this adorable set Summer Blossoms from DD's stash yesterday and  it was on my desk sooo.... I did what I was told for a change and made up a card with it. My card base is sort of lime green and I had some scraps of patterned paper so I went with what was laying around. Now I do a bit of laying around lately because of all the cotton in the air. Nasty stuff that makes my eyes and nose run so that's why I have perched my buttox on my living room couch and just plain cuddled up with myself. As you all know I would rather cuddle with a cowboy but no such luck. But this was an easy peasy card and colored with the old water colored pencils, added a Bow Easy bow and I'm pretty much done.
Got a new Hospice patient that I haven't met yet...that happens Thursday. My boss told me he is a hunky guy but has Alzheimer's so all he does is smile. You know what?? I can live with that cause come on now who doesn't like a good looking guy smiling at them. I for one am all for it. I'll let you know how it all comes out. So be good or bad fellow stampers and have a great week.

Timeless Tuesday...let's play Bingo

Well today at Flourishes it's a TT challenge to play bingo.Well as an old broad I know what bingo is all about and that's why I DON'T hit the bingo halls....I'm desperate but not quite that hard up. I need more excitment in my life then filling a card with some tiddly wink circles over letters to win some body's old jewelry or a quarter. Yikes how bad is that! So anyway if you follow the directions and you can go across or diagonally or whatever. I chose to go with the pink, die cut, and ribbon. Used some cute paper from Paper Studio, my circle dies, part of the cherry blossom set, and the phrase from one of the Botanical Bookplates . Add a ribbon tied with the good old bow easy and I'm done. Guess I'm getting lazy in my old age as this is two in a row I have done with no coloring. I'm BAD !Easy peasy card which will end up in my Cards 4 Kids box and be shipped off to the hospital back in Detroit.
Was excited to know that there's sex at 71...just down the road from me and no roads to cross or anything...I'm grabbing my walker and heading out! Talk later good buddies. Have a fun week.

HAPPY BIRTHDAY TO JAN MARIE...

HAPPY BIRTHDAY TO JAN MARIE today and many days to come! I was in Denver last summer and was able to meet this wonderful lady in PERSON! That was a real treat because you talk to people on a blog but to meet in person is really special. And by the way...Mike the shipping guy (her husband) is a one super fellow too. So my wish for today to Jan Marie is to have a day of happiness, laughter, relaxation, and so much fun you can't see straight!

My card uses Flourishes Cherry Blossoms, Humming Along for the sweet little hummingbird (my very favorite of all birds) and the sweet phrase is from Spring is Sprung.

To create this little number, I just stamped and then colored using my favorite watercolor pencils. The die shape is a Spellbinders Nestabilities Labels Two. A little snippet of ribbon and done! Here's a close up of the sentiment....

I was told that Flourishes is having a special sale today for Jan's big day. Today and Tomorrow all Copic Markers will be on sale at 15% off. What a bargain! Just use the code COPIC15 when you check out. I was honored to join some of the best in the design world bunch today, so you'll have to stop over and see what these fine ladies created for Jan's Birthday Blog Hop!
Maki Jones

Timeless Tuesday ...Sketch

Well today at TT over at Flourishes the challenge is a sketch one. I don't think I did it justice but I did try. I used an oldie but goodie for a Valentine card..the set is Angelic Love and a simple set that is very versatile. Easy stamp, color and slap it all together. Used my embossing folder to make up some dotted swiss bg and then just put it on a red card stock with a circle die to put my little cherub on. Made a  bow with the Bow Easy and I am done. Hope all is well with everyone. I'm still a bit under the weather with this pneumonia stuff but I'm heading to my beddie bye for a nap and hope to wake a bit refreshed. Happy stamping fellow bloggers.

Timeless Tuesday Double Embossing...migraine headache

Well this was a real pain for me to accomplish but after at least 8 times...I got it. So migraine or not it's entered into the TT challenge over at Flourishes. I was so mad at my trying this over and over that I was ready to seek out Beate and literally do her harm...but since that seemed a bit drastic I took my computer to my craft room and followed step by step her directions and finally I got it. My big problem was my cardboard was not heavy enough and once I figured out what I needed ...it worked. I used my dotted swiss folder and my die is of course from Spellbinders and I'm not going to check out the number but say figure it out for yourselves. Mean spirited I know. I used this candle arrangement from one of the new sets called Christmas Candles. Tied a bow with the Bow Easy and slapped everything on a red card.  Put on some glitter and it's done. I looked at this just now and said to myself...That choice of colors is not the best but maybe I'll do another later and re-post...yeah right! Happy week fellow stampers.

Timeless Tuesday...out of the box

Well Timeless Tuesday was yesterday and I'm just getting out of my box to create this card for the "out of the box" challenge. Have to tell you, I had to study this one a bit in order to let's say...get it. Anyway I chose the set for Thanksgiving called A Season of Thanks or something like that. Love the Autumn images in this set and chose this vaase or vase or fancy bowl of veggies and berries to color up and use. My base card is that SU crumb cake color which is only peeping out about 1/8 " and I then went to a forrest green window like opened mat which is embossed with a fancy schmansy folder . Found some lovely damask type sleek paper to use behind my opening to set off the deep green and lovely autumn colors.Popped this up with some demensional dots. Added some soft willow green ( that's what we called it back in the day...willow) satin type ribbon and bowed it with the none other then Bow Easy. Used my Spellbinder's oval shape and to get me out of the box, I stamped and cut the bowl part and plastered it down. Fini!
Hope you are all off to a wonderful week and will soon have a happy weekend. Taking DGD to see Puss in Boots tomorrow as the kiddos are off school a few days for teacher's conferences. Fun times with the darling Ellie...love it.

Timeless Tuesday...use water

Today at Timeless Tuesday the challenge put on by Miss Maki is to stay calm and use water or something like that. This cutie patootie is from a fairly, well very new set called More kids at Play. Sweet little silouettes of kids having fun in the water etc. Here is Mary Mary quite contrary sprinkling her garden to get it to grow. I found some great paper at the scrapbook store here in town by a brand of Pebbles and both of these papers are from this company. I used the cute silouette of Mary sprinkling and just added a tiny bit of color to the flowers, grass, and her hat bow/flower or whatever that is. Used my circle Spellbinders dies and my bow easy for a matching bow.Put a bit of glitter on the sprinkled water and done. Funny while I was in my craft room making this card there was a frog jumping up and down on the window screen trying to get out of the window well. I thought to myself ...it might be Prince Charming waiting to be kissed but decided against it. I'm not that hard up just yet. Happy week fellow bloggers.

Timeless Tuesday...Do Christmas

Hey it's Timeless Tuesday at Flourishes and the ever so sweet Miss Dee is asking us to show our holiday spirit and do a Christmas card. Would I not play??? Of course I have to play cause this little birdie told me to along with I'm sure Miss Dee. This stamp is from the set Christmas Classics and it seemed simple enough for me to do in a production line and use for my very first ever "Montanian " Christmas. I used a embossing folder for my background ( which doesn't show up very well on the picture but does IRL) which hopefully brings out the sweet image. I also matted it ( not the bird but the image) it with my Spellbinder die cut. It's beginning to look a lot like Christmas here. The little mountain town of Red Lodge got 8 " of snow yesterday and we are looking pretty black today so we may be next. Well happy week fellow stampers and I'll catch you later.

Timeless Tuesday...Christmas theme

It's Timeless Tuesday @ Flourishes and I'm choosing to use a Christmas theme today.
Well since I am busy with passing out the Thanksgiving baskets at church I decided to use this picture of myself instead of stamping a card. What... you don't see me as an angel??? Well it's definetely not Hearald from Hark oh Herald, angel sing cause it looks like a pretty hot mama angel playing a little blues on her long horn, so yes, it could be me even though I haven't a clue how to blow a horn. This gorgeous little angel is stamped with Brilliance pearlized soft blue ink and just sprinkled with a bit of gold EP ( embossing powder) which if you do it lightly enough, you get a hint of glitzy gold on your image. Added some blueish blingers and a soft blue satin ribbon which I tied in a bow with my Bow Easy. My stamp a Flourishes was bought last year & brought out of moth balls to get it used a bit this year. Easy card cause I don't have time for playing around.
We are giving out 350 baskets to the needy and so I am a busy old broad. Good for the heart and soul to be a part of this fabulous program. I am blessed believe me, to be able to give hope to those who are so less fortunate then we are. I send you all blessings for a very Happy Thanksgiving. May your family and friends be many and your table plentiful.
