Timeless Tuesday Weds. From the Garden

Well TT over at Flourishes is to choose something from the garden. I've never tried to grow watermelon but I do love to get all sloppy and drippy ( even more then usual) when eating a sweet slice of this tasty
melon. Easy card just stamp and use the good old water-colored pencils, use a few dies, a bit of bright perky paper and slap it all together on a  perky lime ( like from the garden If you live in Fla.) colored paper and you are easy to rock and roll.
Hey fellow stampers I'm trying something new here in cowboy land. I joined the Senior Citizen's for some learning. Not taking walker or cane classes but decided to go with water color painting and line dancing. What a joke huh?? Don't really know where I'm going to show off my skills with the line dancing but thought it would be fun and good exercise. After the first class when I went to bed at night I couldn't even move my sore and throbbing legs but as they say...no pain no gain. See you next time.

Timeless Tuesday...accent black

Well today at Timeless Tuesday we are to accent with black. For my creation didn't want to do 50 shades of black or gray so I calmed myself down and started to work with a simple plan. Used red for my card base added a black mat and then took my white mat and used one of my awesome embossing folders to give some class to the card. For my image I used the summer flowers and the phrase from Friends & Flowers. Simple yet clean Did a bit of coloring, used my circle cut to set my image off and with a small strip of black ribbon behind it I figured my accent with black was fini. Love black and red together. Hope you are all well and are off to a great week. Weather here is perking up and showing signs of Spring. Take care and see you again next time.

Timeless Tuesday..birthday months

Well today at Timeless Tuesday you are to take your birth month and follow the info for it to create your card. Well my birthday is in May and it said to use silver along with color. My card base is navy blue and then I matted the silver and over laid that with some navy and white damask print from MME ( my mind's eye). I used one of those adorable pierced die cuts and then went to work with my small image of roses are red and violets are blue ...but I cheated and made my little rose pink cause I like that better for this card. My phrase is from Spring Bouquet set. To complete it all I added
some wee little stones in blue along with my sheer ribbon of navy. Now that phrase is just too sweet for words don't you think? A mother's love endures and endures and endures some more. My Mom was a prime example of that kind of love and I sure do miss her. I hope my kids feel that kind of love from me that I was ever so blessed to have from my dear Mom. And since Mother's Day is just around the corner this card is perfect.
Happy week fellow stampers. We actually had some snow flurries today...can you believe it! Just the craziest thing ever.

Timeless Tuesday...around the house

Well it's Timeless Tuesday Weds. for me but oh well at least I'm back to posting. This calls for something around the house so I said to myself.,..how about bleach??? Haven't done that in a long time so that's the way I went. Stamped an image from the beautiful pear set and went to work. I embossed the image in gold and then with a clean Q-tip ( not one used in my ears) I used some Clorox bleach and gently dabbed the kraft colored c.s. so as to remove the color. I then went back with another clean Q-tip and chalk colored my image but not too much. Wanted it to be rather mono toned with the greenish papers I used. Simple and easy to do. Cut out 2 dies from Spellbinders and used some pop-up dots and I'm fini.
Hope you are all off to a good week and enjoy the soon to be weekend. Happy times to you all.

Timeless Tuesday...altered projecft

Top of Jar...cut scalloped circle, sanded and added my 2 dies

Bought the jar at the dollar store and filled it with Christmas
candies, added a red band, black ribbon and gold die buckle.

So the challenge over at Timeless Tuesday was to make an altered project and I decided to go with a candy jar cause who doesn't love candy?? My GD will give this to her teacher for a Christmas something. The top has 2 cuts ( from my DD's cutting device called the Sillouette machine which is AWESOME but a bit expensive for this old lady. Anyway why buy the product when you can run down the carriage lane ( alley) and use hers. Not much to this but I think it came out cute and will be a good gift. I used the set Dear Santa which is perfect for this jar . Nothing more to it...easy project.

Timeless Tuesday...do a birthday card

Well it's time for another TT at Flourishes and today we are to make a birthday card. I just finished this one to send off to the hospital so I was all set. Easy card with just using one of the stamps from the set Autumn Blossoms . Can't remember which set the phrase is from but it's perfect on all my cards wishing the happiest of birthday to anyone. My bg paper is from lilybee designs and I love it. Stamp, color, do a Spellbinder's circle or two and you're done. If it's your birthday...it's your card.
Deary weather here in Billings MT. and we are supposed to get rain. Talk about rain and cold ..yesterday my GS played football and it literally poured and was so cold I thought I would freeze. They won their game and after sitting in the cold and pouring rain I went home and took a 15 min. hot hot shower and then turned on my fireplace to get my body warm again. Boy what parents and grandparents do for their kids huh! He's a great boy though and so you say to yourself...he's worth it.
Happy week fellow stampers.

Timeless Tuesday...get sketchy with Ally

Today's TT is a sketch challenge...my favorite as someone else does the layout for me. I chose the Aster little bouquet from the calender set # 3...autumn flowers. It's a wonderful time for me as I love the crispness in the air when the sun goes down and before it comes up all the way. Have a story at the end of this post about the sun so hold your horses and I'll get back to you. In the meantime as I said I opted for some fall like flowers and since they are commonly purplish tones I did a purple toned card all the way. Followed the stekch to a T as it's easier that way. Used the Spellbinder deckled edge die and  a edge punch for the scalloped edge. Nothing much to it just stamp, color, and spit glue it all together..Fini.
So we are at a night time football game for my darling GS on Sat. night and it's getting dark ..so I lied, it was dark and I look off into the distance and I see this glorious sun just sitting in the sky. It's the most beautiful orange red and I am in awe. I turn to DD and say..OMGoodness isn't that the most beautiful sun set you ever saw?? She looks at me and says
Mother you're ready for the home...that's the top of the First Bank Building. She then mega phones it to the crowd. I tell the man next to me...no worry I'm not a native Montanian so no disgrace. He just laughs and says , You're Ok.  Talk about stupid.
Well have a fun week fellow stampers and see you next time. The Crazy lady.

Timeless Tuesday...Pintrest inspiration

Well  TT challenge at Flourishes this week is to get a Christmas picture from Pinterest for inspiration and make a card or project. First of all I said to myself...what the heck is Pinterest??? Well after I scoped it out on the net I discovered how fun it is; however, I did not see any pictures of lonely cowboys waiting to take a spot under my Christmas tree and I thought ...DANG! Anyway I did find this candle picture and thought it's a cute idea to make a kitchen tool your holder for a Christmas deco. I used two sets to create my card the first is
Poinsettia & Pine ( the new release) and the second part from Christmas Candles. I took the pine sprig and stamped then masked it ( not like the Lone Ranger mask) then stamped my glass covered candle...yes I know there's a name for it but the brain's not warmed up yet this a.m. Used my water colored pencils, my Spellbinder's dies, and my bow easy to add the finishing touch. Voila ( French for well whatever ) I'm done for this one.
Happy week fellow stampers. My son's visit was great and I got my DIL Cali started with a lesson in stamping. I think I created a monster but I did send her home with tons of supplies so she's set for fun. See you next time partners.

Timeless Tuesday..make it small

Well today at TT over at Flourishes Broni is asking us to make a card that is 4x3. Tiny wheenie
yellow polka dot bikini...yep that's pretty small. So I took the humming bird set and created this small little card. I can't decide if I like the flower in the mono effect or with it being pink. What's your opinion? In either case there's no coloring as I used shadow inks which create a very soft card. Easy peasy and I'm done.
Want to see my flower box flowers?? Of course you do so here they are. They will probably keep blooming until November if the weather stays hot. They are so lovely.

Deep purple ...sun cut the color somewhat but they are very deep purple.
The trailing flowers are lavender...I think it's called bocupa or something like that.
Have a good week fellow bloggers. I'm excited as my son & his wife are arriving on Thursday for a visit. Haven't seen them in a year...Wahoo ..can't wait till Thursday.

Timeless Tuesday...purple & blue

Well today's TT is to use purple and blue as your focus...since I don't focus too well at my age I guess that's called blurple and I tried to acheive it as well as I could.  I started with a purple card on which I matted a piece of soft blue and then added a bg from Paper Pizazz which was called sponged purple so since it has both colors I thought Yep and hooray...this will work. I took out the hyicinth set and went to work shading up the big sprig and added some lavendar for the ribbon on it. Love this type of flower and was wishing I could get a whiff of it as to me it is such a wonderful fragrance. Added a few blingers and I'm done.
Still bloody hot here...high 90's each day and I tell you I've had enough of it. Wish the damn weather man would be right for once when he says a cold front is moving in but so far not happening. Hope you all have a grand week fellow bloggers and see you next time.

Timeless Tuesday Sketch

Well it's TT over at Flourishes and Heather has made it a sketch challenge which I love as it means someone else is doing my work of placement for me so Yeah here goes. I certainly hope I get a few visits on this one as last week I was left crying and hurt that no one came by and said hello. Just kidding I realize people do have lives and fun things to do. So this week I chose the pansies ( or at least I think they are ) from Botanical Bookplates vol. 2 and went to work. My card has a base of olive green and a mat of purple that I ran through my machine using a embossing folder from SU called Fancy Fans which I really love. Cut an oval, stamped my flowers, did a bit of coloring with my colored pencils and finished off with some lavender ribbon and sentiment from the Zinnia set and a punch to set it off. Finished quickly. Liar, liar, pants on fire...it took a bit of time to get it all together but there you have it.
Hope your week will be a goodie...since it's so hot I will head for the pool and sit in the sun to keep my glowing tan which looks like I just returned from a romantic place on the ocean. What a joke huh? But a girl can dream now can't she! Happy week fellow bloggers.

Timeless Tuesday...CASE A CARD

Well at TT the challenge is to CASE a card from one of the designers and of course I chose my DD to copy and steal everything but as you can see...mine does not have the beauty and class her's does. This is the Summer Blossoms set and she made it up so soft and sweet and being the crass lady I am I decided to make it up as a bright and not so classy card. Instead of following in her footsteps I used Spellbinder's lable # 14 instead of the oval and changed the whole thing up. My dotted paper is Mind's Eye and I used some bais type ribbon with some ric a rac below which you can't see too well in the pic a ture. Oh well such is life in the country. I went with a bright colored button and some twine because I'm not a refined lady anymore and am showing my bumpkin side now. Annnyway...that's the way the blossoms bloom here and I did my own thing on the copy and steal challenge. I never have figured out what the CASE really stands for so I just say it's copy and steal everything. Happy week fellow bloggers or is it buggers in your neck of the woods??? The grasshoppers are driving me nuts here  as they eat all my plants and make me extremely MAD and I mean worser then usual. Have a happy trails kind of week.

Timeless Tuesday...Christmas in July

Hi all and Merry Christmas in July which is the challenge at TT today. Well my all time favorite set is the Santa  I Believe set. He is the cutest image of Santa you could ever ask for and I tell you I'd love to plop my butt on his lap and have a little talk. This stamp is so neat because it takes little or no work to color. I just used my colored pencils and did a bit of color and added glitter to the rim of his snow hat and a few blingers to the holly berries. Not sure if that ribbon is really necessary and debated back and forth about putting it on. My GD Ellie said yes you need it and although I love her dearly...I 'm still not sure about it being there. My bg paper was from our stamp store that is now closed. Boo Hoo !!! So there you have it all done for this week. Hope you all have a great week and talk to you again soon.

Timeless Tuesday...sentiment

Well it's another challenge over at TT for Flourishes and this week we are to use a sentiment as our focal point. I chose the little verse I found in the Zinnia set about kindness. I love people who are kind and thoughtful so this was a goodie to choose. Very basic card using the Teardrop circle die which kind of reminds me of a sand dollar...did anyone else see that in this die?? Golly I wish I was able to walk on an ocean beach and search for one as it's so darn hot here lately it's" killing burn your body sunshine". Not something us oldies can handle for too long. Anyway...Nothing much to this card as I stamped with a blue ink, die cut the two circles added a ribbon of bias tape in whitish color and a blinger on the bow. Found my paper in my stash and it was not marked but probably comes from Mike's place . Soft blue denium type color. That's it fellow inky finger friends. No big plans for today but Sunday is DGD's birthday and she will turn 9. Yikes where did that time go. We made a birthday list for her parents and they exploded laughing... we put stuff like the Genie bra in all 3 colors, nose piercing, a gift card for a few tatoos, a dye job for pink hair. Well of course DD thought this was all my idea but me and Ellie came up with it together and had such fun thinking of things that would rock her parent's boat and guess what we did just that.

Have a fun week everyone and talk again soon.

Timeless Tuesday...think summer

Well hello fellow bloggers. Hope you are had a bang up 4th. of July and for all you Canadians...a bang up 1st. We had a big party in the sub. with lots of fun but NO FIREWORKS...because of the dry weather which has been so hot and has fires going all around. Better forget starting any new ones so they said no sky being lit with boomers this year. Anyway on to the challenge. Make a card that reminds you of summer. I love to read and when the weather is nice I love to sit outside and read a good book so this stamp from Kids at Play again no it's More Kids at Play made me think of being young and sitting under a tree reading. Stamped with sage shadow pad, used a couple circle dies, an embossing folder to get the scored panel for the bottome and some My Mind's Eye printed paper for the top. Add a knoted ribbon and I'm through. Think this took all of 5 mins or so. A real E & Q card...that stands for easy and quick. Just made that up but I think it's pretty clever. Off to a good end of the week with all my grass cut and weeds pulled so now I'm hoping it rains  cause I'm ready.
Have a happy weekend and see you next time for the challenge.

Timeless Tuesday...Friday night

Well guess what people??? I'm really late this week and I think this is a first, my posting a TT on a Friday and in the evening no less. Well so what I said to myself...better late then never and because the phrase says you're so sweet...just be sweet and accept my lateness. You're supposed to use your favorite stamp and die cut but hey how can there be a fav with the Flourishes sets??? Can't happen so I decided I would just choose the Strawberry Set cause it's time for home grown strawberries in let's see like Florida or somewhere right? I do love this set and I guess since I use the circle die so much I guess it's one of my favorites. Just found some sweet paper at our now closed scrap book store and thought it would do nicerly and so away I went with it. Punched the little fancy phrase holder and stamped my heart away. Used some bias tape type ribbon and that was that.
It's been so hot here I've been taking my DGD to swim as much as possible. Went to a city type pool today and spent over 3 hours in the sunshine and wonderful clean and cool pool. What fun. No cool guys in Speedo's though which I guess is a blessing. We had fun and we are now going to rent the movie Mirror  Mirror and have some popcorn and snuggle time. Have a great weekend fellow stampers and if you see any cute cowboys keep me in mind as I'm still searching.

Timeless Tuesday...butterflies

Well today at TT it's let's use butterflies. I took the liberty to do some weird coloring but it's not really weird because ...did you know there are 175,000 species of butterflies and the way I colored this one is due to a butterfly called "lemon emigrant".Picutured above so you don't think I made that up. I'm not completely nuts afterall. I used my butterflies from the Gerber Daisy set along with my dies from Spellbinders. Not much coloring just some cute paper put our by The Thrift Shop and I don't mean Salvation Army either. Easy peasy card with just a bit of rickity rack and crocheted lace added and I'm done. Got a dentist appointment coming and I hate that but I said to myself...you shouldn't not like the dentist cause he has fillings too ya know! And with that I say smile you're on Bloggers camera and pretty soon John Qinoutus may show up and ask you ...what would you do??? Tell him you're busy stamping and just don't have time for such foolishness. Happy week everyone.

Timeless Tuesday be fruity...

Timeless Tuesday at Flourishes is to be fruity. Well I sure know about being fruity but making a card with fruit...not really very good at it. Got out the Lemon stamp set and went to work. What does that phrase mean??? Lemon's love life? Well who doesn't love life, I know I do or at least most of the times. I love hot summer days with a chair by the pool and a cold glass of lemonade. Who am I kidding, I'd much rather have a cold beer or a nice cold wine cooler but let's pretend it's lemonade shall we!And while we're at it I'm pretending I still have a pool to sit by but boo hoo...that's back in Michigan. Just found some bg paper and did a bit of die cutting and my colored pencils and to top it off I found some green & white baker's twine and called it a day.
Sorry my picture sucks ( like a lemon pucker ) cause it's after 7:30 and the sun in down...oh well.
It's almost the weekend again so I hope you all enjoy and see you next time.

Timeless Tuesday...birthday card

Well it's Timeless Tuesday at Flourishes and we are to do a birthday card so I did just that. My card is done on a card already beautifully fancy edged that comes in a package of 8 put out by Stampin Up. I know cheating huh? But what a beautiful piece of cardstock for a card isn't it! I used Spellbinder's die cut lable 4 for my 2 cut-outs and stamped with the wonderful Cherry Blossom set.Colored with my favorite water colored pencils, added some glitter to the blossoms and ribbon, a few fancies and my phrase is a Stampin Up one which fits nicely or at least I think it does. So anyway who would say unhappiest birthday or have a rotten day? Not me cause if I'm going to make a card I want it to be a nice way for someone nice. Hey I'd love to do a card for a cowboy but as yet all I've seen are hay seed tobacco chewing guys who pretend to be a cowboy...hey I'm getting to know about this stuff and I know a fake when I see one. And since we are coming up to Easter this weekend I want to say a big Happy Easter to one and all. I hope the bunny doesn't forget me cause I love chocolate but then who doesn't huh?

Timeless Tuesday...Easter time

Well it's time for another TT over at Flourishes and today we are asked to do an Easter card...BUT I don't have any Easter stamps other then this adorable bunny from Spring has Sprung so this is what you get. He's so sweet it makes me think that spring has sprung the grass has riz...I wonder where these sweet bunnies is?? I just stamped and used my colored pencils as usual but they are my favorite..I'm not swift with those Copic guys. Stamped
used 2 die cuts, used a die cut element from Kaiser Craft lilac collection, some white and lavendar ribbon and a wee button. Put the phrase off to the side and guess what??? I'm fini! I think this little set of groupies will go off in the mail to my BFF for a sweet Easter wish.
Hope you're all off to a great start this week..I am doing the best I can to
have a goodie myself. So take care and I'll see you again soon
